At Omland Hospitality, we believe that leadership extends beyond business—it’s about creating pathways, building communities, and empowering the next generation of professionals. That’s why our co-founder Preeti Bhatia was proud to attend and support ECC Hive’s inaugural “Connect & Elevate” event, a powerful initiative focused on newcomers, international students, and emerging professionals.

Despite a severe thunderstorm warning, the energy inside was electric. The event’s boutique-style format encouraged authentic one-on-one conversations over traditional panels and career fairs—putting connection, mentorship, and meaningful exchange at the center of the experience.
Preeti’s involvement reflects her ongoing vision to support immigrant professionals, BIPOC leaders, and women entrepreneurs. Sharing her own journey as a founder, she emphasized the importance of community, resilience, and access to opportunity—especially for those navigating new beginnings in Canada.

As part of our contribution, Omland Hospitality proudly supported the event by contributing souvenirs from women-owned small businesses, reinforcing our commitment to celebrating diverse entrepreneurship and community-led growth.

We extend our sincere appreciation to Rajan Sharda of ICICI Bank Canada for their sponsorship and partnership, which helped bring this initiative to life. A special thank you to Sanchari Sen Rai for her continued support of newcomer empowerment and education. And of course, gratitude to Abhay Rai and the ECC Hive team for curating a purposeful and impactful experience.
“Connect & Elevate” was a reminder that when we invest in people, we build stronger communities. Omland is honored to be part of that collective effort—creating connections that matter.
